60 Farringdon Road is the old archive and visitor centre of the Guardian newspaper. Spanning three floors, this landmark building now houses Free Word’s resident organisations, and also has a variety of attractive and functional spaces and desks for hire.

Our four meeting rooms are bright, comfortable and flexible to use and suit groups of from four to 20 people.

Our lecture theatre accommodates about 90 people for talks, presentations and performances, with use of a lectern, wireless microphones and screening facilities.

Our hot desks, situated throughout the building, and are equipped with a internet-enabled PC, wi-fi access and a telephone.

Large events, launches or parties for up to 200 guests are best held in our bright and airyhall next to the café.

The Free Word Centre is fully accessible in all public areas. There are fully accessible toilets located on the ground floor.

Catering is available for meetings, parties or events on request from Café Sweet, based in the centre.
