BBC announces short story winners

Free Word Centre hosted the 2009 BBC National Short Story Award. The winners were announced to a packed audience, and live on Radio 4, by broadcaster and chair of the judges Tom Sutcliffe. Poet and writer Kate Clanchy was the winner for her story The Not-Dead and the Saved. The runner-up was Sara Maitland for Moss Witch.
